So I lost it

Big fish around 1 kg pike in a city river today

I drag too fast and hurry to drag it fish was very strong I was fishing on 2,70 cm okuma psycho perch rod with 3-18 gr casting range but I hadn’t wired line so pike cut my line

@AwesomeFisherman what do you think about rod Daiwa tatula 2,03 m with casting weight 1,8-11 gr

Oh man! I was not expecting a fish story with that title on a forum for schizophrenics. I’m sorry you lost the fish, but thank you for the laugh over the irony.

I can buy this rod but worried about strong fish but I want to try fishing on tatula in river

I’m not familiar with that rod personally. I have an ugly stick. I love it; it’s a little older, but they made 'em better back then anyhow. I’ve never upgraded the reel, but I should. I love the peacefulness of fishing, even if I haven’t gone in forever. I used to go fishing at Lake Corpus Christi in Texas, and it was wonderful. We always brought chicken to grill in beer cans just in case we didn’t catch anything. My dad used to run a sporting goods store, so he knows a buttload about equipment. I just remember playing in the bait when I’d go visit him at work lol.

I wouldn’t try to catch pike on a perch rod it’s doable but you have to have the drag set right and line that won’t break here’s a suggestion use fluerocarbon leader maybe 10 pound test on your ultralight rod also if I was you I’d learn how to debone pike 2 fillet method Larry smith outdoors shows that

There my favourite fish to eat

What do you think tatula is good rod for pike

It’s lighter then my current psycho perch

I know it’s bass rod but I catch perch as well

Yes I have to correct my drag on reel. Make it medium. And slowly fight fish I just started to Panicking and had adrenaline burst

Depends on fish you are fishing and river lake and style you want to catch a fish

Some rods are really expensive for professional fishing

Have you ever tried walleye I know there’s a similar looking and supposedly similar tasting fish called a Zander there’s sauger and walleye in Ontario also all of Canada but no Zander I wonder how different it tastes looks :100: like a walleye
