That’s saddening. Lots of parents abandon their chidren when they get psychotic. My parents almost did that, my mom made a promise that if I quit my meds again and get psychotic I will be on my own. Maybe explain to your mom that now on meds your behavior is much better and that you won’t quit meds or get psychotic again, maybe she will reconsider. If not you can try living alone and if you get lonely maybe group home is better for you.
well she will still talk to me and see me so its not that bad

It’s the same for me. I live alone, but my family visit me pretty regularly for the most part.
Its probably better for a chance at independence to try living alone than in assisted living. Therell be things like curfews possibly which is problematic if you go out with your mum and get back late
None of us can promise that. Heck, I’m always psychotic. I just deal with it.

I think that’s a good idea. I’d still keep in touch often but live alone
