From midnight I can officially become part of an extended household with my sister. I will be allowed to go in her house and not have to keep social distancing.
This is because I live on my own.

Very cool matey. I went to a friends yesterday and another friend met us there. Was good to just sit down, drink some coffee and shoot the breeze. We are old men these days. We used to meet up in pubs but now it’s coffee and talking.

He’s done ok @anon94176359 . Luckily the horse racing kept going. He is a cheap punter so that keeps him occupied. We are slowly opening things up.

How badly was oz affected? I heard nz managed things well and are almost in the clear now

We did pretty well as we followed NZ and locked everything down. Our biggest issue was people getting off cruise ships. They let 1500 people off a ship in Sydney and some had covid. It really added to things but touch wood we weren’t as bad as others. Still few flights and the border between Qld and NSW is still closed as of now so interstate travel is even off limits.

I dont think our countries would cope with another lockdown if it came back

There would be protests on the streets for sure
Would bring down the government too
I couldnt cope and i doubt most people could either man it would be chaos
it might help if i was with someone but i still dont think i’d last very long
even the thought of it gives me the shivers

They’re allowing the same here. Problem is that if you’re in a vulnerable sector, you’re supposed to continue isolating or maintain extremely limited cohorts. Lots of pressure now from wife’s aunt and uncle in late eighties and early ninites to visit. No. Also lots of pressure from wife’s parents: late seventies and late eighties. Still no. They’re all vulnerable and so am I because of my heart. At this point I think they’ve basically snapped and stopped giving a ■■■■.
I liked it better before the re-opening.
