Our dog RooRoo has diabetes…she would only drink a lot of water and then throw it up immediately for two days…it happened on the weekend is why we didn’t take her to the vet earlier…anyways her blood sugar was like 580 and it’s supposed to be 75…we are without our RooRoo for a couple of days while she gets well. we are very sad about it…plus the costs that are going to mount because of this…

Sending positive thoughts. We just lost our dog to cancer. They really become part of the family. So I can empathize with you. The cost for the treatment is really hard too.

I’m sorry about Roo Roo…the costs of a diabetic dog are enormous, from food to vet bills to insulin, but Roo Roo will come home and all those kisses will be the best you’ll ever get.
Here’s a trick my family used when we had to give our schnauzer his insulin shot…we put his food down and let him start eating then pulled up his scruff a little and injected him there. He didn’t notice cuz he was chowing down and there’s lots of loose skin there so it doesn’t hurt so much.
