I take Risperdal Consta. But that’s not enough to knock me out. I also need Geodon, Seroquel, Trazodone and Melatonin. And also the occasional prn Klonipin. I sleep well almost all the time on all of this.

I take paliperidone and my sleep is erratic, sometimes I sleep good other times I sleep terrible.

The proof that medicines make everyone feel different is that I could sleep very little, 5 hours a night, on Risperdol. I hear it is a good drug for some, and that it doesn’t cause weight gain!

LS! I take 4 milligram Risperdal daily and it knocks me out. I just fall asleep afterward.

I take Invega and my sleep is crap although it has gotten better insomnia, night owl, waking up multiple times a night, crazy vivid dreams I don’t remember having sleep issues on risperidone though

i’m on risperdal consta 50mg and my sleep is good… but i also have to say i also take clozapine 200mg so i’m not sure if just the risperdal is enough to knock me out.

No actually my nighttime dose of risperdal makes me sleepy but doesn’t knock me out cold.

Seroquel actually knocked me out.

More Risperdal! Yes, increasing dosage makes it more potent, its simple.

Risperdal is a strong dopamine antagonist.
Similar to the first generation older antipsychotics.

I didn’t sleep well on paliperidone or risperidone. I woke up 2 hours earlier every time.

H2 receptor antagonists (Famotidine) and also Effexor increases risperidone levels

H2 receptor antagonists had the opposite effect on me, making risperidone less effective

My sleep was bad on only risperidone. Waking up every few hours.
