My most recent purchase was a craft beer making kit for my dad’s Father’s Day.

I tried to train my dogs on the invisible fence too,
It was a nightmare.
I followed the instructions and walked them around the perimeter until it beeped,
Letting them know their boundaries.
Then the day came where I thought they understood and I let them free.
They all (three) ran as fast as they could off the property.
Because they have different heights, the beeps and shocks started at different times.
But I got the same reaction from all of them, terror.
They had no idea what was shocking them so they continued to run like they were being stung by bees or something.
Biting the air and yelping.
It took forever to get them in the car and the collars off, poor things.
It’ll probably be easier with one dog,
Just sharing my experience though.
Those fences can be great if your dog understands, mine just didn’t.

I told my dad your horror story but I think he still wants to try it. So wish us luck in a couple days when it arrives. lol. My sister has one and it does work for her dog I guess. So IDK.

I think the trick is you have to let them get shocked a few times while still on the leash so they understand why they’re being shocked.
It works for a lot dogs, so there has to be a correct way.
I’d do some research before it gets there and see how people got it to work for their dogs.
Not trying to scare you, I probably did it wrong,
But it’s worth it to do some research and really spend some time acclimating them to the fence.
