Prostate cancer blood tests (PSA)

The last time I was at my GP, they said it’s time (due to my age) to start testing for prostate cancer. They mentioned a blood test called PSA. So I asked A.I. how accurate it was, here’s what it said below.

So, in other words, it’s a complete joke from what I can see. The chances of a distressing false positive is unreasonably high.

i just had a bowel screening myself and it said “no further tests were needed at this stage” which i guess is the all clear?

do you have a family history of prostate cancer in the family?

if yes, then psa screening is essetial as Chris Hoy the olympic champion now warns!

I have an enlarged prostate that I am on meds for…no cancer…

you know he has terminal cancer after being symptom free and then suddenly discovered he was stage 4?

Yes I’m aware. But it still doesn’t change the fact that the PSA test is a bit useless.
