Preliminary: group karaoke reduces paranoia (by Phil Corlett on Twitter)

Four weekly karaoke groups significantly decrease paranoia in patients with schizophrenia (unlike making and listening to playlists) - from the Twitter feed of Phil Corlett, associate professor of psychiatry.

It would send my social anxiety and from that non bizarre paranoia into hyperdrive. I’d have to be absolutely sure, no ifs no buts, I wasn’t mocked for my efforts. Without that there would be an ice cube in hell’s chance of participating in such a thing. Also sums up my rebuffing several suggestions to do further education. The acute imperative to be safe overrides all else. Doing things virtually doesn’t suit my personality type.
