I prefer dark theme cause light themes hurt my eyes.

Plus dark themes just look aesthetically better to me

I keep my iPhone on light mode.

I didn’t even know it was an option. But I just switched to dark mode. So far, I like it

I found that on my phone, the dark theme conceals the dot next to a new thread so I just keep on light theme

Depends, I’m used to light themes but if for example I have to read a lot I prefer darker themes.

I haven’t switched to the dark them on my phone; but, I think that dark themes make more sense.

In the old days of computing, it was found that the easiest text color combination on the eyes was either green on black or orange on black, as I recall.

This whole hard-on-the-eyes black on white didn’t start happening until ‘WYSIWYG’ word processors came out, I think. That stands for ‘What You See Is What You Get.’

They wanted to display the page on the screen in the same way that it would print out, so they used black for the ink and a white background to make it look like paper. It was hard on the eyes, but it was good for marketing their software. Then, people just got used to it, I guess.

A knowledge of computing history may be good for something.

I’ve always preferred dark themes. It just looks better and is easier on the eyes.
