“Calm Before The Storm”

feeling like i should
have slept a little
longer, i take my
place at the kitchen
table and methodically
pour and drink a
couple cups of coffee,
trying my best to
make the most of
this short time before
the misery sets upon
me, the cycle i’m
in now, a relatively
peaceful morning, the
calm before the storm
that i know is coming
