I finally gave in and received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
My father came with me and it was run by a bunch of soldiers from FEMA.
It’s a huge center and it went smooth.
All I can say was that the police officers and soldiers were all very nice.
The FEMA workers were also very nice.
I get my second dose in 3 weeks.
So far no side effects but it’s too early to tell.
Had two days of symptoms from the second shot.
Told me not take tylenol before the shot, but I had already done so. It just lowers the effectives from 98% to 92%
@Wave, it’s good you got your vaccine, and I’m encouraging everyone to get it. It’s already protected me. Here’s what happened:
On Friday the 2nd, I got my first Pfizer vaccine. No side effects, no big deal. On Friday three days ago, my wife tested positive. Spooked me a bit but what can ya do when living under the same roof? Each day I woke up and felt fine. I went to urgent care today and got tested. It came back negative. The doc told me that with the Pfizer vaccine, it’s provides an immediate 50% immunity, and if you DO contract COVID, it reduces the severity of the course of the illness by 65%.
Hope that helps. It certainly helped me to not worry as much. Be well!
I had side effects 15 minutes after the first shot
I got it on Friday body aches, fever and I’m still having trouble breathing
I hope none of this happens to you
