Pfizer Vaccine

I finally gave in and received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
My father came with me and it was run by a bunch of soldiers from FEMA.
It’s a huge center and it went smooth.

All I can say was that the police officers and soldiers were all very nice.

The FEMA workers were also very nice.

I get my second dose in 3 weeks.

So far no side effects but it’s too early to tell.

Glad I went to get vaccinated.

So far so good.

My brothers girlfriend took us.

She is the best.

I hope I get the pfizer vaccine. You’re lucky.

Yeah I think that the Pfizer vaccine is the most effective.
The first dose is 85% protective against Covid.

Do you know if this is right @everhopeful?

Thanks @anon83141956 and @everhopeful

Personally I wouldn’t assume anything. I’d wait until 2 weeks after the 2nd dose to start getting brave!

The 85% after first dose isn’t endorsed by Pfizer officially.

I looked it up.

Even after the second dose I’m continuing wearing masks and socially distancing.
Not going to chance it.

I think that comes from an Israeli study, not from Pfizer.

Had two days of symptoms from the second shot.
Told me not take tylenol before the shot, but I had already done so. It just lowers the effectives from 98% to 92%

@Wave, it’s good you got your vaccine, and I’m encouraging everyone to get it. It’s already protected me. Here’s what happened:

On Friday the 2nd, I got my first Pfizer vaccine. No side effects, no big deal. On Friday three days ago, my wife tested positive. Spooked me a bit but what can ya do when living under the same roof? Each day I woke up and felt fine. I went to urgent care today and got tested. It came back negative. The doc told me that with the Pfizer vaccine, it’s provides an immediate 50% immunity, and if you DO contract COVID, it reduces the severity of the course of the illness by 65%.

Hope that helps. It certainly helped me to not worry as much. Be well!

Mild fatigue and overall feeling blah!
Kind of losing my appetite.

I was told the worse you feel (within reason) the more effective the vaccine is for you. It means your body is mounting a really good immune response.
