People with vaginas, what is your OBGYN preference? I'm having a difficult time finding one that fits my criteria

I have lady issues.

I have endometriosis and am prone to other lady problems.

My periods are out of control and making me miserable physically and mentally.

The plan is to get endometrial ablation and I have bang up awesome insurance starting the first.

So, my search for an OBGYN has begun.

I went down 10 google pages and not a single one even got close to my preference.

I don’t think I’ve ever even had to go beyond a second google page to find anything.

EVER.

I’m looking at doctors an hour away and still can’t find one.

What are your preferences with OBGYNs?

It’s very personal and most people are particular.

Tell me your preference and why.

Please.

I honestly just like a midwife/OBGYN or whatever that doesn’t push their ideas on me…

Like, I have HPV….

The OBGYN I saw pushed for me to get a colposcopy…. Which is fine, I did it.

But then the results came back negative for cervical cancer and she began REALLY pushing for me to get part of my cervix removed and to put off trying for another baby :unamused:

Like, why would I do that if the results were negative?!

Well, I met with a midwife or whatever at the same facility and explained to her the dilemma… and she totally understood where I was coming from… she was on my side of “having another child is important for me right now”

That’s basically my only criteria. For them to actually take what I want done into consideration.
