Well I think it’s natural. First of all the nocebo effect is much easier to trigger while mentally ill. Secondly physical trauma adds a psychological burden. Thirdly we take aggressive compounds with all sorts of externalities for our health. Lastly our lifestyles are often less healthy, without going into the details as to why that is.

This is somewhat true for me, my legs hurt from peripheral neuropathy and I have thyroid disease. Everyday I hurt.
