I know two professional surrogates.
They are 100% in it for the money.
The pregnancy is just a job.
I have no idea how they do it.
And the going rate is like 40K.
Not worth it.
@Charles_Foster, 43 years ago I got pregnant with my son. After I birthed and kept him, I made the firm, lifelong decision that I didn’t want any more children but thought that I enjoyed the pregnancy experience and wouldn’t mind doing it for pay. My husband agreed with the plan but my mother balked. So that was the end of that idea.
