People who have birthed children, tell us about the day your child was born!

Oh wow!

So you did have to suffer for the birth of your daughter.

Hurts doesn’t it?

Epidurals hurt and are scary.

They wouldn’t let my husband in for mine, but I did hold a nurses hand.

She kept saying “for the baby”,

It was still difficult.

I can’t believe the baby was that big!

Your wife is a legend.

That couldn’t have been fun;

You know how those birthing beds have stirrups? My wife pushed so hard she broke the right one (she’s hella strong - farm kid). The nurses be all GRAB HER LEG.

Steer wrestling is easier.

I actually had chest pains from the level of physical exertion.

I have a bunch of stories. I’m just too lazy to type them all out today.

I nearly passed out when my son was born. The nurse put a chair under me or I would have hit the floor.
They had a mirror so my wife could watch. She kicked it out the way.

There’s too much to type out really, I’ll keep it short-

I was in labor/having contractions for almost exactly 24 hours, my water broke 18 hours into it so they finally admitted me into the hospital. I pushed for an hour and a half at the end and baby human was born. I did it without an epidural or pain meds but at one point I was asking for an epidural but it was way too late. She was born 7lbs 1oz and 20 inches long.

I will add- the nurses were so incompetent, they kept checking my cervix and were like “you’re not dilated at all” well finally a different nurse comes in, checks my cervix and is like “babies head is literally 2 inches from coming out” :roll_eyes:
