Haven’t read the article, but I’ve been aware of this too. Apparently they churn out papers with limited research but because of the comradrei of scientific community - the papers get accepted into journals as additional or novel research

I just read some of it, it’s what I thought it was. That’s so scary to think our epitome of knowledge (universities and their research) is being flooded by private sector agendas

I believe this happens outside of science as a discipline too
