“This relationship was driven by the association of compulsions with job functioning.”

I have an obsessive compulsive side and in my job it came in handy.

And I think my comparatively high functioning is, as they say, partially explained by the dovetailing of the OC symptoms and my job which required a lot of repetitive work.

Maybe my lack of feeling has helped me to be better functioning?

I sort mail for a living…

It’s the perfect job for me. Every day I create order from disorder. It dovetails nicely with my compulsiveness and my slight OCD. I take a lot of satisfaction from my work, even though others might find it to be a bit hum drum.

It’s good to hear that some people get on well with their OCD. i find it difficult to function when I feel like I need to check my stove all day long. Or can’t get out of the house because of the intrusive thoughts that make me wanna bang my head against the wall.
But I don’t have a problem with self grooming. Or arranging my closet
