I’m listening to “the downward spiral” album…what a masterpiece of industrial rock. I forget to put him on because I used to associate the album with suicide as in the last song “hurt” but now it’s just good music to me…what do you think of Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails?

I used to be super into NiN in high school. Nowadays I think they’re okay. Trent Reznor is definitely very talented with music, and I like the score he did for the documentary series “Vietnam.”

I liked the Downward Spiral. It’s dark and dense but a fine work of art.
Some of the peeps I worked at Barnes and Noble with would see Trent down the local park in NOLA walking his dog/s. I’m not sure if he still lives there but he was known around town.

I really like NIN.
It’s not my favorite kind of music,
But there’s no denying Trent Reznor’s incredible talent and passion.
It’s incredible.
So, just to make everyone feel old,
(And also I had to google him to make sure I spelled his name right),
You guys,
He’s freaking almost 60.
I can’t believe it.
We’re all getting old, man.
It’s also worth mentioning he is an Oscar winner.
And an Emmy winner.
And a Grammy winner.
Get that Tony Award and he’ll be an EGOT.
It’s possible still.

Not heard that for a long time, i only know the double album, i think it’s called fragile, sometimes i stopped to breathe to do no damage to the soundscape lol

I only recently discovered the albums on streaming. They are very well produced and I like his voice and music. Best popular music I have found in years.

I used to listen to Nine Inch Nails a lot with my booming speakers in my 95 chevy camaro z28. Bought it a year old. Was the newest and most expensive car that I ever bought. Was my driving music for awhile.

That will give you an idea of what I listen to nowadays. You’ll have to scroll through some tawdry humour and movie posters, but there are links to the new songs I have been adding to SQFM. I grew up on Kiss, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, and Dire Straits and still like to revisit them on occasion.
