I think it would be a great idea if another category was created.
To split up the Unusual Beliefs from Hallucinations and Delusions
and Create a Hallucinations and Delusions section
so that we can differentiate between people that want to talk about random unusual beliefs and the people that are concerned or questioning about hallucinations or delusions and are actually looking for help.
would be much easier and effective
@szadmin , what are your thoughts on this?
Or you could just wait until an ignore feature gets here. It’s ETA is probably the end of this year so szadmin said a few times.
Why isn’t this in meta btw?
i dont know what meta is . I didnt know there was a section for inquiries on site improvement actually. I dont know how to change it though
it is also not about ignoring. its about minimising confusion of other onlookers on this forum.

It’s probably just me being over pedantic tbh. If it’s a problem I’m sure one of the leaders will change it.
But there is a pencil thingy next to the title that you can change what category it’s in for future reference.
The category I miss the most from the old forum is the “School and Work”
That was a great category. That’s what really drew me to this forum and after reading all the stuff about school and jobs I was really inspired to go back to school.

An off topic section would help a great deal too.

There is a category named ‘uncategorized’ although for some reason it only shows up when creating a thread.
We have had some good ideas for other categories like ‘school and work’. I think because a lot of our members use cell phones there is a concern on adding too many categories that make navigating the site harder on small devises.
I think further separating unusual beliefs from delusions could come with it’s own set of issues.
Perhaps ‘off topic’ is not a bad idea however there are a lot of sites and forums out there for people to discuss any number of topics. I found a forum yesterday that operates all year just to discuss Halloween.
@SzAdmin can further discuss.

What needs to be done is to stop supporting those not seeking help or support, those who want to prove or believe in delusional ideas. A thread should be locked as soon as it goes from discussing a delusional belief from a reality based perspective to a sick circle jerk of delusional reinforcement.
We should talk about delusions but we should do it from the point of view that they are not real and that we are trying to overcome them and help others to overcome them.

I agree on that, the threads like that should be locked immediately when they are not pertaining on how to overcome them
