as a solution to my sister’s extreme self harm and extreme alcoholism and eating disorders we both have it’s not a great solution

You need to find a therapist for that compulsive behaviour…there is a lot of support groups on internet too.
I mean…speaking about self destructiveness I know how it pays back,sooner or later…

There’s nothing we can do for her
She doesn’t want help
She’s waiting for a court date later this month
Broke bail, spent a night in cells
Where is she staying in the meanwhile? Can you hospitalize her? It would be best for her.
They don’t section her
We can’t get help because she’s paranoid of help and doesn’t want help
You could say that she’s been harmful to herself or abusive to others…that is the way things funcion here if you need an involuntary stay… Police should pick her up with mental care professional and get her to the hospital.
Of course,little can be done if someone her age doesn’t want help and refuses treatment…and all that situation only adds to your own issues…
Take care of yourself … You have an obvious example of what might happen if you don’t.

in the last few days she’s been honest with my mum for the first time. I think it sounds exactly like late onset schizophrenia.
