■■■■ @mcxmac you’ll never know unless you try. As I said the best ■■■■■■■ ap I’ve ever tried AnD the last amount of side effects. All these meds are crap shoots, but I’m so glad I’m finally on something that doesn’t make me feel zombified.
I tried Abilify or Aripiprazole a couple of years ago. It didn’t work for me. It made my mood symptoms worse - i became more depressed on it. I’ve also been on Quetiapine in the past but that didn’t help much either. But then everyone is different. It may be worth trying something new if it reduces the sedating effects and other minor side effects you’re getting with Seroquel.
I have tried this drug twice. I wanted to be on it because it was less side-effects.
This year I tried it again, and it made me very agitated, and I barely slept.
It works well for a lot of people, so I think it’s worth a shot despite the experiences I have had on it.
I take Amisulpride now. It’s what I had hoped from Abilify.
Good luck
Isn’t it sad that it is one of the “safer” ones? What does that say about the others?
Abilify is a really great drug. I used it for a year but had to stop cause it was too expensive. It has fewer side effects though. Was on 5 mg daily then. Now I’m on risperidone 2 mg b/d
I was sold the idea of ability but it didn’t work for me, luckily I tried another med that is working great x
