I think the numbers will be higher than this.
America is having an obesity problem at the moment.
I don’t see the situation getting any better.

For instance, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and West Virginia have projected obesity rates nearing 60 percent 10 years from now. And by 2030, severe obesity will be the most common BMI category nationwide among women, black non-Hispanic adults, and adults in low-income households (less than $50,000), the researchers report.

I think this says a lot about the problem. We need to make healthier food more affordable and more readily available for people. We need to teach kids in school how to cook, not just as an elective. When you have $4 for the day, and you’re already stressed about everything else, most people are going to opt for the fast food option over all the work involved in preparing and cooking a fresh meal. It takes budgeting, that kids aren’t learning in school. Not to mention so often, if you’re making ■■■■■■■■ minimum wage that doesn’t support buying food and paying rent and utilities you don’t usually have enough money at the beginning of the week to buy enough food to be able to plan and cook and budget and all that is involved with that.

I’m considered obese by my height and weight combination ( 5’6 and 220 pounds ) I hold my weight pretty well though.
