Neil Peart is no doubt the best drummer of all time…nah, not john bonham…he’s second to Neil P.
then there’s Eddie Van Halen…wow…mind blowing stuff to me…he is my favorite guitarist that has passed so far.

@jukebox, if you were to construct a band from dead musicians, who would the band be made up of?
I’m a metalhead, so for me it would go something like this:
Wayne Static (Static X) - vocals, rhythm guitar
Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) - lead guitar
Cliff Burton (Metallica) - bass
Joey Jordison (Slipknot) - drums
Ginger Baker 2024
My husband’s votes:
Warrel Dane (Nevermore) - vocals
Jeff Hanneman (Slayer) - lead guitar
Chuck Schuldiner (Death) - second lead guitar
Martin “Kiddie” Kearns (Bolt Thrower) - drums
Paul Raven (Killing Joke/Prong/Ministry) - bass
Bass was the hardest pick, because you also have Lemmy (Motorhead, because he’s hard rock, not metal), Peter Steele (Type O Negative), Dusty Hill (ZZ Top, not chosen for a metal band), and Paul Gray (Slipknot)
Honorable mention for lead guitar goes to Dave Pritchard (Armored Saint) and Mike Scaccia (Ministry/Rigor Mortis).
Yeah I agree, Neil Peart was a master drummer although John Bonham wasn’t shabby at all
