Man I been reduced on my clozapine (125mg daily)

I been getting lots of brain fog though too!
I get in these confused states, just lost for several seconds. Comes and goes

What kind of drug is trintellix?
I use atomoxetine for add stuff but it seems to help a bit with brain fog and energy. Even though it isnt a stimulant.

Before psychosis I suffered from brainfog. Post psychosis my brainfog vanished.

But now I can’t picture things in my mind. I have trouble retaining information. I have issues with abstract thinking.

Trintellix was the best antidepressant Ive been on out of several and had the least bad side effects/most cognitive boosting so it seems like a good choice to me, its different from others in that its a serotonin modulator not strictly an SSRI

The sexual side effects are supposedly reduced compared to ssris since it’s classified as a serotonin modulator and stimulator. Also that it has procognitive effects, probably on in depressed people and negative symptoms. All ssris have procognitive effects in people with MDD anyway. This is really the only serotonin medication that I would want to go back and try.

How much does it cost where you are vs ssris? Because I would think on a cost benefit analysis it isn’t worth it vs ssris if your paying a couple of hundred usd, still I think it has the potentially to be a superior medication. Interested to hear the effects

My psychiatrist put the drug through a pharmacy that dedicate to fighting insurances for coverage of non generic drugs. Not sure on the final price of the drug currently on sample from my psychiatrist.

That’s alright sample should give you enough of an ideas of it works, nice of your doctor to argue your case to the insurance.

I used that drug before, did well with it for a while if I recall. I don’t think I stuck with it for too long though.
