My mum is worried I am going to end up like dads mum

I was telling my mum how I find it difficult to wash.

She began to discuss how my grannie who had SZ refused to ever wash. She would go for months. The carers weren’t empowered to force her against her will so my mum had to do it every 6 weeks.

I appreciate my mum is terrified I am going the same way and that is why she is very strict with me when it comes to hygiene.

I thanked her for her concerns but urged her to show just a little bit more compassion in her requests.

I love my mum.

She was a little bit drunk when she told me. Kinda let her guard down. Glad she told me - helps me to understand her concerns more.
