My fur baby

Is constantly needing to go outside to go potty lately. He’s not having accidents, and he’s not licking his genitals a lot and there’s no other symptoms of a uti. But I’ll let him out, he’ll pee, come back in and the 5 minutes later he needs to do it again. It’s driving me crazy! I hope it’s not the beginning of a uti but I don’t know what else it could be. I can’t afford the vet right now

Hopefully it’s not diabetes

Oh I didn’t think of that. I’ll have to save up for a vet visit

Is your fur baby overweight or drinking more as well?

No. He’s drinking like usual and he’s not overweight @Wave

Then there’s a good chance he’s not diabetic but I would go see the vet just in case.

Is he fixed? maybe there’s a cat in heat out there…

He’s fixed. And he’s a dog. We have a privacy fence so he wouldn’t see any other animals when he’s outside except birds and squirrels.

Thanks @eighteyedspy23!

Take him to a vet for ulcer/struvite stones. My dog had them and he had to get surgery done. He was constantly needing to pee.

When you take him out, see if he can pee well. If he can’t pee well, that means a stone is blocking his bladder.

Also go asap because the condition can kill your dog. Wishing you the best!
