My dad is going in

For his second surgery tomorrow and our hope is that the surgeon can get all the cancer. It’ll be awhile before we know for sure. Scary but I’m glad for the dr and surgeon.

I hope they get it all. Cancer is so awful. If he ends up needing chemo or radiation, the American Cancer Society has volunteers who will drive patients to their appointments. They also have a phone information center you can call 24/7 with questions about money, insurance and your diagnosis with nurses who are trained in the various types of cancers. I used to volunteer at the American Cancer Society.

We are in Canada so no cost to us. Thankfully my sister is retired so if he needs rides she would do that. They only live two blocks apart.

Oh, I will be thinking of him. I hope all goes well. I know the seriousness of the surgery with my niece having cancer.

Any idea why they did that ??

Probably COVID. It’s what moved my pacemaker replacement from January to June.

I see. But it’s not certain coronavirus will go away in a month, while it’s fairly obvious the cancer will keep spreading/growing…
