My best interest decision got approved by social services and I can travel to Sri Lanka in November for 26 days

On Friday I had a meeting with my supported living manger and social worker and they did a best interest meeting to see if I was able to travel to Sri Lanka on my own in Nov. It was decided I could go as long as my MH remains stable. In the best interest decision they way up the cons and positives and there was more positive then cons. So I’m going to Sri Lanka again in November, this will be my 3rd visit there. Its such a wonderful country so I’m really looking forward to it.

Wow you must be more high functioning than you give yourself credit for.
Traveling half way around the world by yourself takes a lot of courage!

Enjoy your time there @bobbilly

its good you found something you are able to do. traveling is your thing. and sounds like you get alot of help organizing it and staying safe.

I agree, @Wave traveling is very stressful for me. months years in advance notice to prepare do help me travel. i always feel relief when its over.

I wish I could be that independent. I can’t travel alone. I once booked a trip to China for a solo trip and ended up cancelling and losing my deposit.

do you get manic episodes? @anon25873142

just curious

Why do you ask @Kxev my diagnosis is schizoaffective but I doubt im bipolar. I think I make impulsive decisions but I think it might be linked to autism ADHD … you know emotional dysregulation…

I’m making an assumption about myself, I don’t know what causes what anymore… but I did read adhd can make you make impulsive decisions.
