For the last two days my left eye was bloodshot and painful. Went to see an optician today and she said it was dry and inflamed.
Apparently the cause was my bedside fan which I keep on the left drying out my eyes. This was reassuring cos I looked the symptoms up online and jeez thought I had a crazy tropical infection.
Just have to use artificial teardrops for a week and ibuprofen. Feel better already

Googling symptoms always ends up with you self diagnosing the most extreme, hard to pronounce, terminal illness. Never ‘just a cough’ but in fact ‘totally lethal super bird flu’.
