Your cats are telling you that their bathroom is dirty. Are you using clumping cat litter? Do you need a new cat box?

One litter box for 3 cats needs to be cleaned at least twice a day, and you need the multiple cat litter or else they usually wont use it because they dont want to step in someone else’s dirty toilet.

I clean their litterbox every time they use it. I use the cheapest kitty litter, though.
We use fresh step with the red lid or the black lid, depending on whatever is cheapest at the time. Our cats seem to like it enough.

Then you would love my Charlie boy. He’s such a sweetheart. Very affectionate and towards the end of the day he’s a professional attention seeker. Good mouser too. He gets very vocal when he makes a catch.
Oops! He needs his litter box scooped too. We use the clump litter. Easy to clean and I think both cats like it better than non clump litter.

When my mom adopted her two cats as kittens, they started out roughly the same size. Now as adult cats, the female is 12 lbs and the male is a whopping 21 lbs. In contrast, my wee doggie is only 7 lbs.
