the adverse effect profile at 70 and 50 is quite high isn’t it? i just read the officical website details on it, and it sounds exciting. propaganda aside. i hope it is revolutionary
“Across the KarXT and placebo groups, 70% and 50%, respectively, experienced a “treatment emergent adverse event.” Some of most common of these in the drug arm were nausea, indigestion, vomiting, constipation, headache and hypertension.”
How many people suffer these symptoms on traditional APs anyway?
Every time they inject me with risperidone I gain a kg in weight from constipation, for example. Nausea is pretty common too…
Looks promising TBH.
“Karuna said it’s hoping to launch its drug in the second half of 2024.”
And not too long to wait for USA citizens. UK will probably take 5 years to take it on though.
Sounds good , its so good of people to make these meds. I like the system how it works … Hurray
Great news! its been a long wait
No weight gain is quite the key part here
Causes hypertension. Stroke waiting to happen. I bet the drug is utter crap.
Breaking news! Both first and second generation APs cause hypertension.
This one may cause hypertension and is also seen as lowering blood pressure.
Wait this drug causes hypertension? It has a high adverse effects profile?
Not really ,it’s quite benign compared to other aps and more effective compared to most
The most likely real side effect is gastro, indigestion, etc.
@robertc @swordiebrom Ok thanks
