Just found helpful grounding techniques I used my last year of college

Grounding Techniques:

Rate emotional pain 1-10
Stay neutral, don’t judge
Focus on present

Mental Grounding: Describe objects, sounds, textures, colors, smells, shapes, numbers, and the temperature

“Categories” Example: states that begin with “A”

Describe an every day activity in great detail

My name is ____ . I am safe right now. I am in the present, not the past or future,

Physical Grounding: clench fists, and release, hold a chair tightly.

Practice even when you don’t need it (20-30mins)

Create your own method on grounding

After rate emotional pain

Another Grounding technique is as follows I hope it helps :slight_smile: :

Try to think of a clear blue sky while pushing your feet firm to the floor in your shoes / slipper/ bare foot.
Then slowly relax them whilst wiggling your toes up and down in the a firm way.
