I wonder if being darth vader caused it
I’m shocked that they’re not calling it bipolar with psychotic features, since he’s famous and all. Hopefully this does something to break the stigma.
More likely it was all that sand.
So sad 155555555555
how interesting…sad he’s got schizophrenia…but makes me feel like i’m not alone.
I’m sad for him. I’m also worried that this will further stigmatize sz because of his fame, much like Brittney Spears and bipolar disorder. They are in the spotlight, and that’s not a good thing when they are representing the mentally ill.
As long as he doesn’t get violent, it may not be a bad thing. People assume we’re violent and most of us diagnosed with it aren’t. If he gains insight, it could become a positive thing. You never know.
Wait, that’s the young kid Anakin right? Cause I thought teen/young adult actor quit acting.
I don’t watch Star Wars, so I think I confused myself.
Yes. He played him as a little kid
I scrolled down on the article and read some of the comments lol
One comment said he should be locked up for life fkn stigma is not dead
So true @daydreamer. I have a friend who doesn’t know I have been diagnosed sz, and she thinks all people with mental illness should be locked up for life. Obviously she’s not a close friend. I invite her over when our mutual friend Lori comes over. And Lori has bipolar disorder and BPD. But our friend who thinks that way doesn’t know it.
some people just say that bc they havent got a clue and they are trying to make a joke, some people think we are dangerous though and thats not right, we are actually less dangerous and more likely to harm ourselves, people need to wise up, we need to tell people about this.
I’m not strong enough to tell others and face the consequences. Hopefully those who are do something
I once had a “friend” who dropped me once I received the diagnosis of bpd, before that changed to bp, then finally sza. On our last outing together, right before she said that, she went into this rant about how these diagnosis weren’t real and all kinds of weird stuff like that. Then she told me my meds had changed me, and she didn’t think we should hang out anymore. My meds weren’t anything extreme at that point, and they certainly hadn’t changed me. She just didn’t want a friend with MI.
I am part of a radio show once a month and i would like to say something about it on that at some point,
but apart from that, all i can think of is a magazine i am trying to promote and get involved in but that’s still in its infancy and may not happen
She’s mean and selfish. One day she may need mental health services. She apparently has to learn the hard way, rather than through empathy
Best of luck to you on your endeavors @daydreamer! I hope it works
Thank you, @LilyoftheValley. It was really hurtful. She was my only friend at the time. Nowadays, I go out with an octogenarian who only knows I’m depressed, nothing else. I don’t think she’d really understand anything else well. But she’s a doll, and I love her.
My best friend went dumpster diving tonight lol, but he is a nice guys though and i gave him my old jacket, the jacket is cream coloured so he will need to keep it clean.
I don’t think i lost any friends but i withdrew from all my friends anyway so it was me who stopped talking to them when i was 15/16 i have loads of friends now though
