I sent you a PM. You can post the message again without the personal attacks. I really wasn’t trying to be mean.
Ok i’m sorry, i won’t post it again.
Yeh it got me a little heated up. But i wasn’t trying to win an argument, just saying what i think is true…
anyway ■■■■ off frings and watch your movie
It’s fine, don’t worry. You’re allowed to disagree with me. I’m sorry I came off as arrogant. I’ve had a horrible Christmas and a long day. The last thing I’d want now is to pick a fight with someone or make someone else’s holidays bad, too. Enjoy your movie!
I’m a jung fan and do like the concepts of mind over matter. Do think there are things we can do to improve. By things I mean activities, reality testing, attitude changing, nutrition, supplements, exercise, facing phobias through exposure, cognitive brain training such as luminosity or cbt workbooks, ect. The brain has plasticity. I do not believe this is set in stone.
i feel like anything thats a problem with the human mind is inherently a problem with the brain as the mind is a product of the brain imo, just a part we dont quite understand yet
Excuse me, sz can indeed be fatal. My son died of it. He was only 30 years old. He refused second generation injectable antipsychotics and therefore died of his disease.
true, but i like to think my mind is intact and sane while this disease is wreaking havok around it so to speak…
The brain but not yet fully understood. Other neurological disorders like epilepsy were once considered all in the mind but now fully understood as a brain issue.
Isn’t the mind just in the brain ? Where exactly is the mind.
I’m sorry that happened Ginalovea2
When I say schizophrenia isn’t fatal, I mean it’s not fatal in the way alzheimer’s is.
But yes, sadly many people with this illness commit suicide.
I was thinking earlier of posting about a similar topic. you might want to check this link out. It links to another sz.com post
If you want to look at it as an illness then there are alot of factors. I’d rather focus on the side of understanding the experiences and how to cope and lower what we deal with.
I personally believe it’s alot to do with our lifestyle, choices and beliefs that set it in motion. But I also believe that our environment plays a very large role on if we recover and become stronger than our illness.
Being self aware enough to relive where you hurt yourself and others helps.
But I also think having determination to accomplish tasks regardless of what we are experiencing is a very big thing.
Learn yourself but do not boobie trap yourself in the process
For me, I think it started in childhood.
And I can’t blame myself because, I believe kids are simply a result of their genes and their nurture.
Kids haven’t started making their own decisions in life, they are a product of their genes and their environment.
I think any kid under the age of 10 is not responsible for her or his actions, or even personality.
Just my thoughts.
Edit: in law, kids are not responsible for their actions, they aren’t sent to prison when they do wrong.
Schizophrenia is a brain disorder not a disease as there is nothing too obvious when a brain scan is done so not much of a difference or any difference at all as to why it can’t be classified as a disease. It’s definitely psychological being affected from the environment and genes.
Certain crimes receive a waiver in Florida (and other states) that allows the state to try the juvenile as an adult.
Florida sentenced a 13-year-old boy to life in prison without the possibility of parole (Lionel Tate).
Fine, where I live kids are not considered as adults when they do wrong.
You don’t give your own opinion on that kindness, do you think kids should be treated as adults when they do wrong? Just curious.
I believe it is of the mind; something faulty with the perception of reality.
No, I don’t.
In fact, I believe juveniles should receive rehabilitation, something they won’t get in adult prison.
I believe in second chances.
something like this
i won’t get into terminology in english but i think it’s definitely brain disorder/disease/illness/…
our brains are different like everyones else just in problematic way
a way our brains are wired bring various problems onto us
somebody have severe anhedonia somebody doesn’t have anhedonia at all
somebody have voices somebody doesn’t
etc
our brains are different even though we all have same diagnosis
