There’s a new barbershop close to where I live that’s charging $30 for a haircut. My old barber who is a little farther away only charges $19. He’s been at his location for years.

Where I go, it is $15 and I give a $5 tip. So $20.
Depends. Do you get a wash, cut, and style or just a trim? A cut with style is more expensive than just shaving with clippers.
I’m not sure. $30 was the lowest price.
I cut my own hair. The upfront cost was about $150 dollars for supplies. Combs, shaver and clips, scissors, mirrors just like you find in the barber shop. And it took a few times to figure out how to do it properly but I have been cutting my own hair for years now, save a ton of money and it turns out better than the barber because I have experience doing it and I know exactly how I like it.
I just checked their website. It’s up to $35. “Precision Cut. Every cut includes a Straight Razor for Shaving of the Neck Line and a Hot Towel.”
I would not trust someone to take a razor to my neck. Too paranoid.
I use to have panic attacks sitting in the barber chair, it was excruciatingly hard to act normal and that is why I started cutting my own hair.
Its not too much if it includes tip and yes it also depends on what you do like washing hair, putting gel at the end, styles, shaving beard, etc
Here in Canada usually a regular haircut is 25$+tip.
it is if you wear a hat
In the old days, you didn’t tip in the barbershop. I tried to tip my barber $5, and he said it was only $19. I usually give him a $20 bill and tell him I don’t need the $1 change.
I’m female, so it’s probably different, but I expect to pay around $50 (USD) for a haircut. So, $30 sounds like a deal to me! And $19 sounds sketchy.
I just go to a old fashioned barbershop. No shampoo, usually they just use the clippers and maybe a little bit of scissoring with both regular and thinning scissors. $8.00 plus a $2.00 tip.
I used to get a 3/2, but I started doing a 5/2 or 5/3 cause my GF complained I looked weird with my head all shaved lol.
Haven’t done it for over a year now. Got one trim a while back from my GF (she used to be a hairdresser). Now my hairs pretty long. Might go with pulling it back out of my face with a hair band. Not quite sure if it’s long enough yet. Spend a lot of time lately combing it to the sides, the hair getting in my face drives me nuts.
Female haircuts are more expensive especially those who are a fancy style. My mother usually pays 100$ for her fancy haircut for occasions like weddings.
I shave my own hair with 20$ wahl clippers as I have a big balding spot but for occasions I go to the barber as they also make my beard stylish with fades and cutting the borders with a razor.
i pay 20 dollars for my haircut.
My barber use to charge $16.00. I would just give him a $20.00 and tell him to keep the change.
I don’t really remember now what my barber used to charge. He went up to $19 sometime before Covid19. I’ve been seeing him for years now and wasn’t going to quibble over several dollars.
There are cheaper hair cutting salons near me but they always do a terrible job. The salons that are good charge $40.
