Oh I love ham at Christmas. In Australia we have it cold but there’s a growing trend to bake it. I’m not sure why, it’s hot here at Christmas. I also love my Mum’s (was my Nana’s) potato salad which is a special Christmas treat.

I love steak too. With mushroom sauce.

Really nice to meet you!

@kindness I’ve noticed you often search for deeper meaning behind what people write here on the forum. Have you ever considered becoming a psychologist?

Also, I agree totally, Nick has the best sense of humour. It’s a shame when people don’t get his jokes, it makes me sad. @77nick77 is my inspiration, did you know that?

I have thought about it.

I studied psychology for 2 years in the Navy, 10 hours per day, 7 days a week. And I’ve studied psychology at a university.

You seem very laid back. Are you laid back?

@kindness Yea, most aussies are! Not much gets my goat. But I also don’t engage in a lot that does, or has the potential to get me heated. I don’t watch the news because I get irked at things politicians do and decisions that are made. I get a little bothered by some of the decisions that managers make at my work, but I vent to my team leader and get over it pretty quickly. I don’t hold on to anger, it’s a waste of time.

Also, did you love being in the Navy? You sound like you’ve had a really interesting life.

I want to go to Bondi Beach (I’ve been watching that tattoo show).

Yeah, I loved being an Intelligence Specialist. Sort of like chess, but playing with real people’s lives instead of pieces on a board. It was more stressful than I anticipated.

Wow! What a great job! I bet is was stressful. I’ve never been to Bondi. We have wonderful beaches here in Australia. We’re blessed. We have beaches, rainforest and desert.

@TheGreatestDrZen where do you find your inspiration for your wonderful cartoons?

@Skims, I think it’s great you keep the monthly diet and exercise threads going. Do you find it helps motivate you in your own diet and exercise programs?

Ha, now you cracked me up! I don’t think I could do a comedy club but I have been to one.

Wow thanks @anon84763962. That’s going to keep me trying to do good.

You are. When I first joined you reached out to me and shared your story and I really connected with it. And Your fighting spirit is an inspiration to me. It inspired me to do my best to get back to work and since I’ve restarted at my old ob I’ve done nothing but increase my hours, minus a glitch when I took some time off because of a minor relapse.

Thanks @kindness. I appreciate that. By the way, my sister was in the service too. My dad was in the Navy during the Korean war.

Thank you, Turtle. I was looking for a job early this year, and I wanted to keep my focus on building my career-- instead of spending time on here. Now that my career has gotten back on track, I feel free to join the discussion here again.

I find this video from years ago interesting. Did that awkward moment happen before in your life?
