CONCLUSION: Highly increased prevalence of self-reported psychotic illness is associated with use of high-potency crystal methamphetamine in people who inject drugs, particularly where there is dependent use. There is an urgent need to develop effective interventions for dependent crystal methamphetamine use; and a need to monitor for symptoms of psychotic illness in drug-using populations.

Meth messes up the world alot. I’ve tried it and never again, I’ve been clean since 2007. I’d never EVER do that again.

There’s nothing worse than having to deal with someone that is strung out on that garbage. It’s literally poisonous garbage and there’s no place for that with me.
crack cocaine is pretty bad too. I was smoking that stuff like a mad man before I became psychotic. Even the drug dealers were telling me to slow down.
I guess our brains weren’t meant to handle such potent stimulants

Never touched it, but yeah that stuff just shouldn’t be around it totally ruins a person in a matter of two uses. I mean it will RUIN you. I was chasing that meth dragon that day too. I wanted to feel that high I felt the first time I smoked on the same day. I was strung out and couldn’t sleep for days and couldn’t stop crying. I hurt myself because I hated my life, this hatred thing I have eventually has to go…but I was for sure never ever going to do that stuff again.
Yea it really does “ruin” you. I hated my life at the time too, I never knew that it gets better until it was too late. Permanent psychosis is what I got out of that binge. Now in 39 and contemplating suicide. All because I took drugs in my teens and twenties.
I’m really sorry all of this has happened to you. I hope you support our police officers who are trying to prevent it from happening.

For some reason I’ve always seen crack as a black drug and meth as a white drug. Maybe its because of breaking bad, I’ve seen like one episode but I know it was a great show…
Crack typically isn’t used by white kids unless they’re extremely adventurous and don’t give a ■■■■. It’s dangerous to buy and difficult to cook yourself. It’s probably the most intense high of all the drugs and it lasts about a minute before you need another hit.
It’s terrible stuff. I’ve had more conversations with black people about quitting crack than anyone else.
It seems that most black people know at least one person whose a crackhead. While in the white community they all know if the same kid that had a problem with crack.
