I was in the hospital once for more than a month. We could only use the hospital phone and had to have a calling card but they let me out one night to take my wife to dinner for our anniversary. They wouldn’t let me go on our anniversary but a couple days later. I had to be back by 9 pm. They let me leave at about 5 pm.
Maybe you can get some yard leave. Can someone pick you up?
They made special visiting hours for me because my wife was in school and couldn’t come during the regular hours. Hospitals still suck but sometimes they bend the rules a bit.
