I don’t know. I think hyper? They had to destroy her thyroid.
Before it’s destroyed it’s hyper then you go hypo. Hyper it’s very easy to lose weight hypo it’s not easy at all
Hmm… I’m not sure. She takes synthroid now and it’s hard for her to lose weight. I think they try to get her to a normal TSH level.
I’m on levothyroxine and I’m hypothyroidism and it is hard to lose weight
Oh! Lol. I should have known!
@LilyoftheValley lol it’s all good
Yes, that’s generic synthroid. Doesn’t work for my mom though. Only the name brand helps.
@Sardonic oh that sucks I’m sorry
Oh she’s good. It’s one of those meds that the generic is different than the name brand, so her insurance covers it. Plus, when she had no insurance, she could go to the hospital and get some for free.
@Sardonic cool I’m glad. Hopefully she’ll find the right dose
She was on the right dose for awhile, but personally, I think she needs it adjusted because she’s having symptoms like constantly being cold, headaches, low appetite, and what seems like hypomania, but she also has ADD so the mania may be from that.
Hmm well she might need an adjustment and the only way to know is a blood test. How long ago was her thyroid destroyed?
Oh, lol that was nearly a decade ago. She just hasn’t gotten an adjustment in like 3 years, as far as I’m aware.
She needs an adjustment more than likely
Well done on the weight loss. Hope it works out for you.
@anon98459728 thank you
Me too. I’m the same way. It sucks cause it’s not very much food.
@Sheryl I’m sorry
