If you had 2,000 dollars what would you spend it on?

We used to hang out a lot, but when I got dx’d with SZ he stopped contacting me.

He’s a bit of an ■■■■■■■, but his older brother still wants to speak to me

I see, unfortunate really… sorry.

In the tech boom of 2000-2001, I took the $5,000 my mom left me when she passed away, and turned it into $87,000 in just three months. Things were moving so fast, and you had to stay on your toes but there was a fortune to be made

I bought my first house, with a mortgage of only $600 a month. That’s less than half of the rental of an apartment. I wouldn’t have the balls or the presence of mind to do it again at this point

I couldn’t handle the risk of doing something like that!

My Mortgage is only £450 a month, but that’s based on 32 years left to pay!

I couldn’t handle the risk or the stress now, no way. But at that time I was young, making good money and felt like I had nothing to lose.

Good deal on your mortgage, man. Makes life easier when your bills are low

I am glad you did well in your investments though! Must be good to get a boost like that

I lost a lot of sleep at the time, but it got me out of the rental treadmill

Renting sucks big time. Landlords are parasites to the people who have to pay rent for nothing in their futures.

Very sad situation that this is allowed to happen

I hope everyone can own their own home

The greed in housing is unacceptable.

Supply is very short in a lot of places

I would donate some of it to Doctors Without Borders, and I would probably buy a good pair of athletic shoes, then I might buy a toy or two, like a metal finder and/or a telescope.

I know what you mean. Rents here have almost doubled in the last several years, there used to be rent control but they removed that and now everything has gone through the roof. I honestly don’t know how people can afford to live

There are much cheaper places to live.

I am bound here by family ties. Nothing else

I would upgrade my wardrobe because lots of my clothes don’t fit, and my shoes are worn.
Then I’d buy some electronics like a laptop and a Nintendo Switch.
If I had anything left, I’d spend it on fidget toys and knitting things like yarn.

I’d spend it on groceries for the next year.

Probably save another 2-3k and then invest.

A watch, a concertina and pay my credit off. With the rest of the money I treat myself with sushi.

$2,000 is the amount I spent on my home treadmill. I spent over $6,000 for this ring.

I’d buy a car. We need one badly.

Probably a bow and arrow combo like a bow from bowtech
