I just found out you can speed up and slow down Youtube using
javascript:(function(){document.getElementsByTagName(“video”)[0].playbackRate%20=%200.5}());
where the last 05 is the playback rate, in this case half speed.

Yout have to paste teh above into a bookmarklet and click on it when the video is playing.

But when I just tried it, the sound remained when the playback speed is faster but disappeared when slowed down, so no “whaaaat theeee haaaack.”
