I missed the conjunction thing. I forgot about it and when it came to 9pm it was too late :pensive:

Someone should post it here I wonder if it looks different in different parts of the world. I’ll have a look to see if there’s one from the UK

They just mentioned on the local news here in the SF Bay Area that the Chabot Observatory will start live streaming the event starting at 5pm (California time).

The Facebook and YouTube live stream links are in this article.

.
Here’s the YouTube link which will start live streaming in 30 minutes.

weird how this has already happened in the Uk but not yet in US eventhough we are able to talk to one another here on the forum. it is as if it is happening twice.

It’s a huge deal to my wife. I humoured her and we tried to look for it. We’re having a massive storm system roll through so it’s no go.

yeah it was cloudy most of the day but the weather cleared up a couple hours before it got dark. so we were able to see it.

The neighbours houses are in the way so I can’t see it IRL. I will just watch YouTube with the running commentary of the Chabot Observatory (masked) nerds.

For some reason “The Great Conjunction” makes me immediately think “The Great Conjunctivitis”

I think I seen it. Looked similar to other stars.

Whoohoo! I was able to see it over the tops of my neighbors houses and was able to distinguish Jupiter and Saturn using my binoculars.
