Baby human and I just got back from the local library.
A lady had a job booth thing set up in the entrance.
Anyways, when we were leaving, I told her “bye” (she was on the phone and told the person she was talking to to “hang on”)
And she said to me, “I just had.to say- I love how gentle you are with her”
I almost started tearing up when we exited the building haha, yeah I’m a sap.
I try to do the whole “gentle parenting” or whatever they wanna call it.
I’m that Asian parent with the flip flop permanently attached to my hand just waiting. lol actually it’s been commented that I’m super patient with my teenagers when really I’m just gritting my teeth the whole time and praying I don’t have crazy eyes while I’m doing it. 
It’s good to be noticed for being a good parent though isn’t it? It’s always the bad ones that get noticed.
That was very nice of her to say. You deserve it.

It feels good to be validated as a mom. It’s not easy all the time and we put all our effort and then some into being the best parents we can be. I’m happy for you

I don’t get many compliments from people close to me about my parenting…
So, it’s especially nice when I do get a compliment…
My 13 year old is currently watching a 10 min video with nothing but children saying the phrase “How rude” from various sitcoms. This is me going crazy.
Not gonna lie, miss those days when I didn’t know what “Having no rizz” and “Bruh you’re cooked” meant in reference to me.
Dude, right?
My step son inconspicuously called me “big back”

Oh “big back” I’m only too aware of that unfortunately. That and “your mom” ugh
I believe that if all parents do like you and are gentle and caring with their children, we would be a lot better off as a society
