I may have a new hobby

When I was younger I travelled in 35 different nations and 35 US states. I took many photos. When I went through a divorce in America in March 2000 my former US spouse got all developed photos and I got all negatives. Getting negatives was actually smart because I can convert old negatives to digital photos by using scanners. Scanners do not cost much, I could get one for 120-140 euros. There are still some technical issues I must solve. So when I get all this working you may be receiving many photos from beautiful places such as one volcano in Costa Rica where I watched lava flowing in the darkness while at the same time drinking some wine on the hotel balcony. I think this shall be a great hobby, but still some technical issues must be solved.

That’s fantastic! Please let me know if you need help or recommendations on good free software to use. I still do a lot of scanning myself (digitizing family archives).

Hey @mjseu be careful of this common scam:

That is the real Kodak product from Amazon. It is not cheap, but you will find it for sale on social media for 1/4 of the cost. The pics are usually modified to remove or modify the Kodak logo. These are all scams. They send you a nasty scanner from China that costs $10, and now they have your credit card info to steal from you and also steal your identity if you can. Don’t buy a scanner from an online ad.
