I asked her where she got it. She said that my grandmother was cleaning out her house and gave it to her. Now I know where I’d seen it. I gave it to my grandma years back
Haha…I like re- gifted presents. There’s something attractive about recycling in this world where everything is made to throw away! It looks cool!
That’s funny !
I liked the box myself but gave it to my grandma as a Xmas gift years ago. It’s a tzedaka box. Jewish people put money in it to give to the poor I think once a year. The artist is a famous Jewish artist called Emanuel.
@ifeelblessed. Correct me if I’m wrong
Anyway. My niece is in college. I don’t care that it was re gifted. I told my dad I wanted a book on linguistics for Xmas I don’t care where he gets it or if it’s used. I’ll wear clothes from a thrift shop. I don’t care. Even when I made good money I drove a modest car and still live in a trailer that’s paid for.
interesting motif. yes tzedaka boxes are to save up money to give to the poor.
you are right loke.
