It’s also chance, everything aligning, cause someone else with the same condition can have one thing go wrong and spiral out of the system.
I hate the uk a lot of the times, i’d rather stay in Canada, i think i’d feel safer in Canada
But we use big ole 7.3L diesel engines in canada u might not like our carbon feetprints
Hardy har har 1515
that’s not funny
Its the truth lol. Lots of big trucks out my way. 4x4 country out here i used to have a couple of them I miss them.
I live in a city and everyone and their grandma has a big truck or suv. I don’t know how people can afford these new trucks. Not everyone, but it’s kinda a fad atm.
Yeah i used them for work and fun when i had them. They use too much fuel and too much maintenance
I still hav an iPhone 11 and I’ll have it till no one will support it. I can’t afford a new one. I can’t even afford a used vehicle. My dollars would buy more in a “poor” country but I live in the USA. I think that privilege is access to healthcare.
Wow! thats good. if i get approved for SSI again max i can get is 914 dollars a month, and since i dont live in a city or anything and am rural there would be no option for low income housing, so i will get 914, pay about 400 in rent and utilities (living on family’s property in a shed house) and then they will cut my food stamps for sure. i do get a free cell service tho. and medicaid.
I had a 95’ chevy s10 when I was younger. It was a little 4 banger two wheel drive thing. I used it to haul a trailer with lawn equipment. I could put our skate box and rails in the back. I actually used it a lot now that I’m thinking about it. Trucks are handy.
I treasure my phone and consider it a privilege to own one I like. I spend the least amount of money to get the best that I can afford. Usually refurbished.
Oh, I am certain you would dislike the culture and the crime in Calgary, the city nearest to me.
He’s not kidding. My neighbour has one.
I think it kind of is. I havent got one, im uk as well.
Ive got a bad credit score, and if i didnt have, i still have to spend elsewhere before i can spen on an expensive phonr
My iPhone 15 was only £800. I purchased it outright.
Even in the UK they are expensive luxury items. Spending £400 on a phone is my budget and still quite a lot of money to throw around. I would have to have significantly lessen out going costs to be able to double that budget.
That said, Ive spent a lot of money on my PC… I spent a fair amount of money on a desk chair because I spend a lot of time sitting in it. I suppose if its your main luxury it isnt so bad. My main gripe with phones is they only last a few years at most and I just feel like its a waste of money.
I need to get myself a new phone soon but I really don’t want to part ways with £400 especially with Christmas just a couple of months away. I’m trying to hold off for as long as possible.
Ofc having iPhone is not a status symbol…
status symbol is more like having yachts, expensive cars (such as porsche or bugatti), mansions…
IDK it’s a bit funny for me. Many people have iPhones, atleast in my country,
Phone is just a phone,
more or less expensive it has the same functions.
And overall. Having iPhone don’t make anyone better or worse. I own iPhone 13 mini and it… su cks
It is if you’re so poor you have to choose between paying for rent and buying groceries.
There are members here trying to live on much less than that per month.
Yea, I was gonna chime in and say that iPhones are most defos “attainable” status symbols— that is to say, for the average person.
They are made accessible by payment plans and credit cards for an otherwise ordinary person.
My monthly income is only slightly more and (as you say) that seems to be considered quite a lot of money for benefit claimants.
