When I was a lot younger I was a CNC machinist and I got laid off 7 times in a year and a half. Just insanity. It was when a lot of American jobs were being shipped overseas.

Better laid off than fired. I was fired when I was a young man, and I had a hell of a time finding another job. Eventually I found one out-of-state in Oklahoma.
