I got a new job at a global technology company

I had my first on-site client last night.

All clients receive a survey afterwards about their experience with their tecnician. My client completed the survey about his experience with me and gave me a perfect score of 100.

I posted this to the “Good news” section on the company website and the CEO responded with “STELLAR FIRST SURVEY SIR!!!”.

I’m on cloud 9 right now, starting off with a bang! First impressions and all that…

Got home today, he lived on a private island in a lake up north.

But I made a good impression, he said he wants to stick with me.

So far so good!

Upside: They just offered me another job with their largest corporate client in Canada and will pay me $900 for an hour’s work, woohoo!

Downside: It’s in North Bay which is a 3 hour drive from my place.

Yeah @HollyHobby

Exciting times!

They told me they have a bunch of opportunities like that coming up and asked me if I’m interested so I told them I’m interested in all corporate opportunities…that’s where the big money is! But I’ll still do smaller jobs too and build up my client base.

So I just found out the pricing list they had posted on the internal employee website for my geographical area was the old list. They forgot to update it.

The new pricing list is about 20% higher, give or take depending on the service.

So the bad news is I’ve been under charging all my clients up until now, lol

The good news is I’ve just gotten a 20% raise today! :money_mouth_face:

However I’m free to negotiate service pricing with clients so my “raise” could be more or less than that depending on what the client and I agree upon.

Good luck! Your enthusiasm will help you accommodate your new job. It is really great. I remember myself in the same position as you. I was 18, and I had just got hired. My first job. I was a plumber.
