I am nothing
I am empty
A vessel parched and fractured
Fill me with your
Living water and see
It seep from me
Through the cracks
To the concrete beneath me…
Fill me with your bread of life
Watch it harden and crumble
To dust blown easily by the wind.
Pour me full of sacred wine
The poor man down the street
Will empty me til
I have no more to give.
Consecrate me
With your holy blood
I will drain
Like liquid through a seive.
A vessel parched and fractured
I am empty
I am nothing
