Most universities have their own search engine. That’s what I mainly used when writing academic stuff.
That way you’re sure you also have access to the article you want to read.
Does that give access to most journals?
I know uni’s pay a lot of money for their journal subscriptions.
I only run into difficulty on sci-hub when finding recent papers
